Lands in Exile Artists Programme

The Lands in Exile programme features acclaimed Syrian artists who will create performances and public art installations for many of the stops on Little Amal’s route.

Artists still living in Syria and those who have relocated to new countries will create works that reflect on exile – physical or emotional, inviting audiences to think about what we mean by ‘home’. It is also an invitation to artists from other countries who have made new homes in the countries crossed by The Walk to share their own stories of exile.

We are currently developing relationships with artists who have experienced displacement from or within other countries, specifically artists from Afghanistan, Eritrea, South Sudan and other countries within Africa’s Sahel region, so their voices and stories can be reflected within our Lands in Exile programme.
